Reasonable Believer in Humanity:

Artist, Speaker, Educator, and Local Business Owner

Christina is an artist, educator, local business owner, and reasonable believer in humanity.

For over a decade she’s championed sustainability and environmental justice initiatives across New York City and Nashville. Having grown up a mile from a trash incinerator outside of Boston, she knows policy isn’t neutral. Her MA in Climate Science from Columbia University and her BS in Environmental Science and Sociology solidified a fundamental connectedness of people and place. Through thousands of conversations with custodians, students, community leaders, and artists while at the NYC Department of Education and across Nashville’s creative and nonprofit scene she’s seen how dialogue invites action. Inspired by the moral giants before us, she’s confident in the goodness available when we choose it and structure systems to encourage it.

Whether moderating a panel at Bonnaroo, keynoting the NYC Youth Climate Summit, or curating conversations with Human Eyes Media, her goal is to challenge us to take concrete steps towards the good of ourselves, each other, and our shared place.
